Site of anthers in amaryllis flower

Pollen released after dehiscence

A view of amaryllis (Hippeastrum sp., family Amaryllidaceae) flower with a prominent style (to the left and above the androecium), and shorter stamens bearing the anthers. The anthers have dehisced to release pollen grains (orange-pigmented), giving the anthers a fluffy appearance. The stalks of the stamens supporting the anthers are filaments. In order to show the internal morphology of the flower, some petals have been removed.
